Day 02: Fly to Skardu, Karakoram

Day 03: Spend free day in Skardu

  • After the tour, enjoy free time for shopping in the vibrant Skardu Bazaar, where you can explore local crafts and souvenirs.

Day 04: Drive to Askole village

  • Participants will embark on a jeep safari towards Daso, traveling through the picturesque Shigar Valley.
  • The journey will follow the Braldu River, continuing towards Askole, the last village on our route.
  • Upon reaching Askole, participants will leave the jeeps behind and begin the trek on foot.
    • Depending on road conditions, some participants may begin walking before reaching Askole.
  • The entire journey will take approximately 6 to 8 hours, covering the distance through stunning landscapes.
Day 05: Trek from Askole to Jhola via the snout of Biafo Glacier

  • After ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready, the porters will load up for the trek towards Jhola.
  • The route takes us through the gateway to Biafo Glacier, which flows over 50 km from Hispar La to Braldu.
  • Participants will experience moraine walking as they cross the snout of the glacier, descending to a lunch spot beside the Korofon River.
  • The trail continues towards the confluence of the Braldu and Domordo Rivers. Instead of the old trail, a newer trail will lead us upstream, where participants will cross the river via a bridge.
  • On the other side of the bridge, participants will descend to the edge of the Braldu River and follow the riverbank to reach Jhola camp for the night.

🌊 River Crossings:

  • Several streams from glaciers flow into the valley. Depending on water levels, participants may need to use river crossing shoes to safely navigate these streams.
  • On a clear day, you will also be able to spot the snout of Baltoro Glacier.

Day 10: Trek to Goro II, the junction of the Baltoro glaciers and Young husband

  • On this day of the K2 base camp trek, participants will trek through the middle of the glacier, following the medial moraine.

  • The trek will lead to Goro II, the first campsite on Baltoro Glacier, located at the confluence of Baltoro Glacier and Younghusband Glacier.

Day 15: Trek to Gasherbrum I & II base camp

  • Today, the trek will bring participants to the base camps of Gasherbrum I & II, where the camp will be established amidst breathtaking alpine surroundings.

  • Participants can relax in the camp or, if fortunate, have the chance to meet with mountaineering expedition teams preparing for their climbs.

Day 16: Trek back to Concordia and rest

Day 17: Trek to Ali Camp

  • On Day 13, participants will take a slightly different and less explored route, with detours made to avoid crevasses.
