DAY 01: UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour
Morning:
8:00 AM: Depart your accommodation in Kathmandu. 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Visit Pashupatinath Temple, a historic Hindu temple complex devoted to Lord Shiva. Witness the rites and ceremonies beside the Bagmati River, experiencing the intersection of spirituality and daily life. 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Explore the Boudhanath Stupa. Immerse yourself in the serene environment of Boudhanath, Nepal’s biggest stupa and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the stunning building and spin prayer wheels while immersed in the spiritual ambiance.
Afternoon:
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Lunch break – Eat a fantastic Nepali meal at a local restaurant, relishing traditional tastes and specialties. 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Explore the Kathmandu Durbar area, a historic area filled with historical buildings, temples, and courtyards. Admire the beautiful wood carvings, stone statues, and pagoda-style structures that highlight Nepal’s diverse cultural history. 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Visit Swayambhunath Stupa – Climb the hill to Swayambhunath, popularly known as the Monkey Temple, and enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Explore the stupa complex, which is decked with colorful prayer flags and sacred shrines, and watch the local monkeys play.
Evening:
8:30 PM: Return to your accommodation in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Bhaktapur and Patan Cultural Sightseeing
Morning:
8:00 AM: Depart your accommodation in Kathmandu. 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Visit Patan Durbar Square and the Patan Museum – Explore the exquisitely carved temples and palaces of Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Patan Museum to see the stunning collection of traditional Nepali art and antiques. 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Visit the Golden Temple and Krishna Mandir in Patan. Admire the Golden Temple, a Buddhist monastery decorated with golden sculptures and beautiful artwork. Explore the neighboring Krishna Mandir, which is devoted to Lord Krishna and known for its magnificent stone sculptures.
Afternoon:
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: meal break – Have a relaxing meal at a local restaurant while trying Nepali cuisine. 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 PM: Travel to Bhaktapur, also known as the City of Devotees, which is about 12 kilometers from Patan. 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Discover Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Siddha Pokhari, Taumadhi Square, and Dattatreya Square – Wander around the old pathways of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, enjoying the well-maintained buildings and delicate wood carvings. Visit Siddha Pokhari, a historic pond, and stroll through Taumadhi and Dattatreya Squares to experience Bhaktapur’s ancient beauty.
Evening:
7:30 PM: Return to the hotel in Kathmandu.
