DAY 01: FLY TO GILGIT
DAY 02: ICE HOCKEY AT ATTABAD LAKE
On this Day
After breakfast, drive to Attabad Lake (1.5 hours from Karimabad), where the frozen lake is used as a natural ice rink. Watch or participate in local ice hockey matches. The lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, creates an idyllic location for the activity. You can also explore the lake or take a boat excursion if the weather permits. Return to Karimabad in the evening for a nice dinner and to unwind after an eventful day.
DAY 03: HOCKEY TOURNAMENT AND WINTER FEST IN GULKIN
On this Day
Today, travel to Ghulkin Village (approximately 2 hours distant) to attend the annual Winter Festival. This festival celebrates winter sports, such as ice hockey competitions involving local teams, snowboarding, skiing, and traditional activities. Spend the day watching games, participating in activities, and enjoying the winter weather. After that, you can enjoy the scenic splendor of Ghulkin Valley. Return to Karimabad in the evening, or stay overnight in Ghulkin to fully immerse yourself in the local culture.
DAY 04: EXPLORE HUNZA
On this Day
Spend the day touring the Hunza Valley. Visit Baltit Fort and Altit Fort to enjoy breathtaking views and learn about the region's rich history. Take a stroll around the Hunza Cultural Center or visit the local markets to purchase traditional handicrafts, apricot products, and souvenirs. You can also take a short hike to Eagle's Nest for spectacular views of the neighboring peaks, including Rakaposhi and Ultar Sar. Spend a relaxed evening and dinner in Karimabad.
DAY 05: FLY TO ISLAMABAD
On this Day
After breakfast, drive back to Gilgit and board your aircraft back to Islamabad. Depending on your flight time, you can spend some time exploring Gilgit before heading to the airport.
