Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Sankhu and trek to Nagarkot
Morning:
7:00 AM: Depart your accommodation in Kathmandu 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Journey to Sankhu – Take a picturesque journey to Sankhu, an ancient Newari hamlet famous for its rich cultural legacy. 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Begin the trek to Nagarkot. Begin your hike from Sankhu and enjoy the stunning scenery and abundant foliage. The terrain is straightforward, with a gradual ascent after the first hour. Take regular breaks to relax and remain hydrated.
Afternoon:
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch break – Enjoy a packed lunch on the route while surrounded by nature. 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Continue your hike to Nagarkot by strolling over tree-lined trails. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the slow ascent to Nagarkot.
Evening:
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Arrive at Nagarkot, check into your hotel, and rest. 6:00 PM: Supper and free time – Have supper at your hotel and relax in the evening, taking in the serene atmosphere of Nagarkot.
Day 2: Sunrise View, Walk to Changunarayan, and Journey to Kathmandu
Early morning:
4:30 AM: Depart from your accommodation to the Nagarkot viewpoint. 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM: Sunrise View from Nagarkot – Witness a beautiful dawn over the Himalayas, with views of peaks like Everest and Langtang. 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Trek to Changunarayan – Begin your journey to Changunarayan by going via Telkot Village. Along the route, you’ll learn about Tamang and Newari culture.
Afternoon:
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch break – Bring a packed lunch for the trip. 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Visit Changunarayan Temple – Travel to the hilltop temple of Changunarayan, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the old temple and discover its historical importance. 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Drive back to Kathmandu and enjoy the magnificent sights along the way.
Evening:
