Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Islamabad

On this Day

GPS Data Altitude: 540 m Our guide(s) will receive you from the airport. Soon you will be transferred to hotels. On this day, our participants can relax and recover from their long journey. Pickup information It is straightforward to spot our guide, holding orange placards with our company’s logo and your name. It would help if you arrived at Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad. International flights normally arrive at midnight or in the afternoon. You must give us the details of your inbound and outbound flights at least five days before you arrive in Pakistan. Our staff/guide will receive you at the gates of international arrivals unless you are taking a connecting flight from another city in Pakistan. The guide/staff will transfer you to our partner hotel. If you do not require an airport transfer, please inform us in advance. After lunch and some rest at the hotel (ideally, if you are arriving in the morning between 9 am to 12 pm), our guide/representative will pick up all our guests around 6 pm for briefing and remaining payments at our office followed by a dinner. If you are coming late, we will manage the remaining payments and briefing in Skardu.

Day 02: Drive to Chilas

On this Day

After breakfast, we will travel to Chilas via the Karakorum highway. We will stop for lunch at Naran Valley before continuing to Chilas over Babusar Pass. Once there, we will check in at the hotel. Stay overnight in Chilas.

 

Day 03: Drive to Tarishing, Astore Valley

On this Day

After breakfast at the hotel in Chilas, we drive to Tarishing in Astore Valley, the starting point for numerous treks to the Deosai Plateau and expeditions to Nanga Parbat. The narrow jeep road to Astore leaves the Karakoram Highway at Jaglot, 60km south of Gilgit and 30km north of Raikot Bridge, crossing a bridge over the Indus River and heading 40km southeast up the Astore Valley skirting Nanga Parbat's Northeast Flank (6-7 hours' drive), arriving in Tarishing and checking into the hotel. Stay in Tarishing for one night.

 

Day 04: Trek to Bazhin Camp

On this Day

The walk from Tarishing to Bazin (3650m) takes around 5 hours. After breakfast, we set out early in the morning for Bazinm, also known as the Polish base camp. The trail climbs rapidly up the lateral moraine of the Tarishing Glacier. After crossing the glacier in approximately half an hour, we continue walking through the picturesque Rupal Village, which features terraced fields of diverse crops and ever-changing views of Nanga Parbat. The road follows the north side of a narrow green valley, passing through willow, poplar, and juniper trees before passing a tiny lake and rounding a corner to the Bazin Camp. Flat green meadows stretch between the Bazin glacier's lateral moraine and the mountain. The campground is named after Dr. Karl M. Herrlikoffer, who led eight German expeditions to Nanga Parbat, including the first successful mission in 1953. Overnight in camp.

 

Day 05: Trek to the Shaigri Base Camp

On this Day

After breakfast at camp, we begin hiking towards Shaigiri base camp, crossing the Bazin glacier on a track that takes one and a half hours over a donkey road. After crossing the Bazin glacier from the top of the moraine on the western side, you look down on a massive grassy area known as Latoboh. The vast level Meadows are commonly used by Ropal herders. Latoboh is also known as Tupp meadows because it resembles a Tupp, which was formerly the bed of a lake. We have lunch in Latoboh, which has some great views of Killer Mountain. Further 2 hours journey to Shaigiri, which means "white stone" in Shina, and sleep in camp.

 

Day 06-08: Climbing Days
Three days of climbing up Shaigiri Peak.

 

Day 09: Trek back to Bazhin

On this Day

After breakfast at camp, we begin our journey down towards Bazhin, which takes about 4-5 hours. We stopped for lunch at Latoboh, which has a fantastic view of the Nanga Parbat Rupal wall. Dinner and stay at Camp Bazin.

 

Day 10: Trek to Tarishing

On this Day

Breakfast at the camp at Bazhin, then begin the climb down to Tarishing via Rupal village.4-5 hours of easy walking until Tarishing. Tarishing Camp offers dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 11: Drive to Karimabad Hunza Valley

On this Day

After breakfast at Tarishing, we will drive to Karimabad Hunza Valley. On the way, we will stop for lunch at Rakaposhi View Point. After lunch, we will proceed to Karimabad Hunza Valley. After a short rest, we will go on a sunset safari at Eagle Nest. Overnight stay at Karimabad, Hunza.

 

Day 12: Explore Hopper and Gulmit Upper Hunza Valley

On this Day

After breakfast, we will visit Baltit Fort, Karimabad local bazaar, Altit Fort, and Altit Old Village. In the afternoon, after lunch, we will drive to Hopper Valley and hike up to Hopper Glacier, then drive to Attabad Lake and boat at Attabad Lake before continuing to Gulmit and checking in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Gulmit, Upper Hunza Valley.

 

Day 13: Drive to Gilgit

On this Day

After breakfast, drive to Gilgit, making a short stop at Rakaposhi viewpoint for photography before continuing to Gilgit. We will visit the bazaar to familiarize ourselves with Gilgit's customs, and a stop at the cooperative store, where Chinese goods are bought on the barter system, will allow us to glance at Chinese treasures. We will then take a hair-raising drive across Asia's longest suspension bridge - 600 feet long and wide enough for only one car at Overnight stay in Gilgit.

 

Day 14: Drive to Naran
Drive to Naran via Babusar Pass . Overnight hotel.

 

Day 15: Return to Islamabad

On this Day

Continue driving from Naran to Islamabad. Enjoy the gorgeous return trip while thinking about your excursion experiences. Arrive in Islamabad and check into a hotel for an overnight stay to rest and unwind after your excursion.

 

Day 16: Fly back to home country

On this Day

Transfer to the airport for the journey back home.
